The Next Best Thing

Every time I pass at Red Box, I say to myself, "GENIUS!" How did someone even think of such an awesome idea? And Netflix? Netflix is definitely one of the 21st Century's greatest inventions. It keeps getting better and better - especially now with its streaming option that comes through your BlueRay, xBox, or your computer. Genius, I tell you, genius.

I'm a genius. But I never think of any of these amazing things. Or do I? I have had some pretty genius-filled ideas, but I have never acted upon them. And that is why I want to come up with the next best thing. And I'm not talking about the next BEST thing, I'm talking about the next best thing. You follow me? I'm talking about the NEXT best thing meaning second to the best thing. I want to come up with Sam Kinsley's verison of Angry Birds, the iPod, Redbox, the iPad, video-chatting. Damn it! I want to make a billion dollar Facebook idea and bank in on it. Don't you? Don't you see something and say to yourself, "I could have done that!"

But what is it? What's the next best thing? My niece, Christina, thinks she and I should open up a healthy fast food restaurant with a drive-thru, but she's leaving for college in less than 30 days so the likelihood of our procuring funding, property, permits, and fresh strawberries are slim to none (no pun).

It has taken me quite a long time, but I have finally committed myself to writing, again. I wanted to create a blog so that the craziness on my Facebook status updates (which is limited to 420 characters) can be further explained and greater elaborated.

Right now, I'm not exactly sure where this blog is going or where it will take me, but sit back, read, and enjoy the ride!
